Surround Yourself With The Right People

We've all had those friendships that you thought were going to last forever but now looking back you say to yourself ' What was I thinking?'. Looking back you realise how suffocating that friendship was and personally I often question how I was so blind to not see that it wasn't a true friendship. Sometimes though, you have to experience that bad to appreciate the good.

I have found that as I have gotten older it has gotten easier to tell the traits in people that I do and do not like, you have to learn to associate with the right people, therefore if you ever get the sense of something you do not like or get the feeling that there is pressure being put onto you for some sort of reason, remove yourself from that situation, that person or that group of friends because you don't want to get dragged into unnecessary arguments, drama or fights.

Trust me when I say you will know when you have the right group of friends! They will give you an endless amount of support even when you don't ask for it, they will have your back and you will just feel at ease with them.

Just remember a large number of friends doesn't make you any cooler because one real friend is better than 100 fake friends. So just surround yourself with people that make you happy.

I am lucky enough to have an amazing group of friends and I don't seem to tell them that enough. Although we all have our bad days we know that we are all there for each other and that's what I love the most about our friendship.. We often push each others buttons but we will never leave each others side and that's what real friendship is.
Each and every one of them is amazing and I am so grateful to call them my best friends.

Remain Positive

I know myself from first hand experience that it is difficult to remain positive all of the time. At times it does feel like the end of the world and that you are going to suffer for the rest of your life, but you know what I've come to realise? It's a bad day, not a bad life. Have a cup of tea, sit back, take a breath and relax.
Just because you are struggling today and may be having the worst time of your life, tomorrow may be the complete opposite and be absolutely brilliant! All you have to do is wake up and find out.

We are all guilty of drowning ourselves in our own sorrows because we feel alone.. But now is the time to make a change! We control how we feel, we are not alone no matter what we might think in those moments of time and we will get through it.

Somebody is always there for you when you need to let off abit of steam.. It may be a friend, relative or an absolute stranger, either way somebody is there. If you feel as if you don't want to speak to anyone then write it down on a piece of paper and then throw it away.. You'd be amazed by how much it helps to just let out your emotions instead of keeping them bottled up.

By bottling up your emotions you are digging a bigger hole for yourself as you may end up cracking at the littlest thing and taking everything out on someone who done nothing wrong. The outcome of bottling things up could affect your situation more and you will think back and say 'well why did I do that?'

Remaining positive is difficult to a certain extent, like losing a loved one. Obviously at this moment in time you are going to think negatively and struggle to get back up on your feet but the only advice I have is to make them proud. Be the person that they would want you to be!

Although you can't physically see or feel them, they are there watching over you and I firmly believe that we will see our loved ones again. Until then make it your mission to put in your best efforts to succeed because that is what they would want. They don't want you to isolate yourself from reality, they would want you to move on. I don't mean as in forget about them, NEVER do that! All I'm saying is to keep them in your mind when you feel unmotivated and think to yourself 'what would they want me to do?'

Be positive for them but more importantly be positive for yourself.
Simply live in the moment because tomorrow may never come.

Top 5 Addictive IPhone Games

I'm pretty sure the majority of you reading this have some sort of IPhone.
If not, then please forgive me..
But if you do then here are my Top 5 Addictive IPhone Games.
  1. MMM FINGERS; This is a game where various objects are moving different ways and the aim is to keep your finger on the screen for as long as possible without hitting any of those objects. It is an extremely fun & addictive game and passes the time by quickly.
  2. STICK HERO; Yet again this game can occupy you for hours. The challenge is to get the character across to the next podium by holding the screen to lengthen the stick in their hand. It gets extremely challenging, but that's the fun of it.
  3. CROSSY ROADS; This game is definitely your typical arcade, old school kind of game. You collect coins crossing the road and river while dodging the likes of cars and trains. You can then collect multiple different characters along the way. It's the Flappy Bird type of addictive in my opinion, but immensely enjoyable.

  4. 2048; This isn't your typical arcade game, instead it's more of a puzzle but still highly addictive. Its a series of numbers that multiply together and you have to continue to do so until you reach the number 2048. It sounds easier than it actually is, but while being extremely addictive it's also helpful with your maths skills whether you notice it or not.
  5. CIRCLE THE DOT; Circle The Dot is an extreme head wrecker but thoroughly enjoyable. It consists of a dot that you have to trap within a circle before you slips to the edge. Out of the numerous games that I have played I have successfully trapped the dot twice. Believe me when I say it is a head wrecker but nevertheless you will have fun playing it and will struggle to put the phone down until you complete it.

So those are my Top 5 Addictive IPhone Games. I do have plenty more apps that I will share in future posts. If you decide to download any of the apps that I mentioned above... Good-Luck :)

February Beauty Favourites

This month for some strange reason I've found that I have loved a lot more beauty related products then I normally do, I just thought i'd put together a blog post showing what they are and what I thought of them!

Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with this 'Collection Sheer Loose Powder', I had read some reviews on this before purchasing and there was mixed reviews so I was quite reluctant when buying it, but considering its pretty cheap compared to other powders (€3.99 - Boots) I couldn't go wrong. I'm fairly happy with it, you get a lot of product for such a cheap price (20g) and it does the job needed.
I used this product to set my foundation and it does stay in place for a good length of time. Although I'm sure there are much better powders out there, for now I'm quite happy to stick with this as I'm pleased with what it does and how it looks.

Sticking with Collection I came across the 'Cover Up Stick' and I find it is value for money, yet again it's fairly cheap (€2.49 - Boots). It's got good coverage and I find it blends really well with my skin.
It is available in two shades (Fair & Medium). Only bad thing is that it is out of stock quite often as it's a fairly popular concealer but overall I'm impressed with it's job for that price.

I don't know what it is, but for some reason I always struggle with eyeliner whether it may be liquid or pencil. So when looking to purchase I always have to be careful because I know i'm going to struggle anyways.
I tend to stay away from pencil as best I can and go for the felt tip eyeliners just because they are so much easier to handle and they lessen the struggle of application and I found this one to help me a lot, simply because the tip is so thin and it makes application that bit easier.
Yet again it's by Collection, I don't know what it is but lately their products are just amazing quality and value. This 'EXTREME' eyeliner was also fairly cheap (€3.99 - Boots) which is always fabulous.

Moving away from makeup, I've been loving 'Extracts Fruity Strawberry Body Wash'. Normally I'm not a huge fan of strawberry body washes as the scent makes me feel quite ill, but in this the scent isn't at all overpowering, it's quite subtle but enough to leave you smelling fresh. It leaves my skin feeling super soft and refreshed as well as leaving it smelling like strawberries.

Along with the body wash I've been using 'Extracts Fruity Strawberry Body Butter'. Using this when I get out of the shower I found that it leaves my skin feeling incredibly hydrated as well as leaving that subtle strawberry scent behind too. It's just beautiful!

Don't you just hate those little stubborn spots that are under the skin but are incredibly painful? Yeah, me too. I personally found 'Visibly Clear Spot Stress Control' to solve that problem once and for all, Whether it works for you too, I'm not sure, but it's worth a shot!(€5.49 - Boots) I found that by cleansing my face with this lotion, it reduced the size as well as the amount of spots that were on my face.
Some say it works and others say different, so it all depends on the person, but for me personally it worked like a little charm.

Lastly, everyone loves a good face mask every now and then, if you say you don't then you are lying to yourself. My favourite for this month has been the 'Green Tea Peel Off' which is a mixture of green tea and ginger.
I'm the type of person who has a collection of face masks so to be able to choose an absolute favourite is normally extremely difficult for me. This face mask though instantly made my face feel fresh, light and firm as soon as it was peeled off. The powerful antioxidants of the green tea and ginger purified my skin leaving it extremely rejuvenated.

Those has been my beauty favourites of this month, leave a comment below of what your favourite beauty product was this month!
