I Went To OTRA...

I just thought I would share with you all some of my photos from One Directions OTRA concert that I went to in Dublin. I had seen One Direction live before on their WWA Stadium tour at Croke Park in 2014, so I knew that this concert was going to be just as epic. After hours of queueing my friends and I managed to get 2nd row, which was incredible. The entire concert was fantastic.

If any of you have been to a One Direction concert than you'll know that the atmosphere is like no other.
They give every performance their all which is so satisfying to witness.
The crowd were also electrifying. The One Direction boys couldn't wrap their heads around how loud the crowd was, they were loving it, especially Niall considering it was his home crowd. At points during the concert Niall just looked as if he was in awe of the entire situation. Regardless the crowd were amazing, One Direction were amazing and the entire show was amazing. If I could relive it all over again I would.

Until the next tour...

I Met Alfie Deyes

The title of this post literally says it all!!
I met Alfie Deyes AKA Pointlessblog on YouTube.

After 4 years of being a subscriber/viewer I finally got the chance to meet him when he flew to Ireland for a meet & greet set up by Easons. The way everything was organised was perfect. From the arranging of tickets, having his books pre signed to spend more time with him and to the free sweets handed out from the manager when everyone was waiting outside.

I have never been to an event that had been so well thought out and organised. I expected everything to be madness but actually it was all so calm.. Nobody was rushed, pushed or told off. Everyone from the staff of Easons to Alfie's team were so kind and relaxed.

I personally loved how the day before the meet & greet Alfie signed all of the books to spend more time with the viewers. I also loved how buying the book was optional but of course I bought it. Pre signing the books was all to save time, so he would have a chance to have a proper chat with you and to get numerous photos. It was just brilliant.

I queued from 9.45am and finally got to meet him shortly after 12.30pm, it was a reasonable amount of time to wait but it was extremely worth it, I got to have a chat with Alfie & give him a scrapbook that I had made with a ton of messages from viewers on twitter showing their love & support to him and also get a handful of photos with him! He was so chilled and polite to everybody, even the staff at Easons couldn't believe how calm everyone was because they expected chaos considering it was his first time in Ireland.
All in all I had such a wonderful time meeting him and going by the hashtags #PointlessbloginIreland & #IrelandmissesAlfie on twitter so did everyone else.

Tour Of Red Rock

Okay, so I know that this post is long overdue, but it's finally here!
For anyone who is reading this that may be Irish or living in Ireland you may have heard of the hit soap on TV3 called Red Rock, yes well I got the fantastic opportunity to meet them back in May and might I just say WOW!

That morning exceeded my expectations.
The entire thing was set up to celebrate the first series of the hit TV show, so myself and a handful of other 'superfans' got to go onto the set of the show, have a little wander around and meet the cast.

It was so outrageous to see the set in person because I was so used to seeing it on the TV every week and then to be seeing it in real life was something I was not expecting. It was quite small compared to how it looks on TV which I found quite strange but it was so interesting to learn how what is now the Garda Station in the TV show evolved from an empty building.

It was all just so surreal have such an incredible opportunity especially with being such a big fan of the show. It is honestly a morning that I shall never forget.
To rewatch season 1 of Red Rock #RedRockRewind begins Thursday 23rd July at 10pm on TV3.
Be sure to watch the 1st episode of season 2 on 2nd of September on TV3.

IG Roundup

I thought I would do a little introduction/roundup of my IG account.

I only ever seem to upload to IG if I am in love with a photo and feel that it fits with my theme, so no, I am not one of those people that uploads every single day and updates on every little thing I am doing or everything I am eating.. That's just pointless and stupid in my opinion.

So here are a few snaps from my account, enjoy.

I Did It

I did it, I graduated from school.
I honestly never thought I would get the chance to say those words.

Some people say that school days are the best days of your life and I have found that while you are living them you will disagree with that statement but as soon as you leave or finish school you realise how much you would do to go back.
For the guts of the past 2 years I was constantly on the verge of dropping out because I was not enjoying school at all. I told myself that if I got a job then leave, fair enough I would have something to do and won't just be lounging around my house doing nothing. It then came to the point where I was half way through my final school year and just stuck with it as I had made it this far, I may aswell jump the last hurdle.

Slowly but surely graduation day crept up and before I knew it, it was the day!
For someone who absolutely hated school for the past 2 years I could not control my emotions. I done nothing but cry as it actually hit me that I was leaving, I was finished school and I had made it.The part that hit me the most was that I had spent the last 2 years moaning and giving out about school that I didn't get the time to actually try and enjoy it.
I haven't even been out of school a week and I am dying to go back but I know that I am onto bigger and better things, like starting college, meeting new people and having new experiences.
I am beyond excited to start this new chapter in my life but I will not forget the times I had while in secondary school, looking back on them now I had a good time.

I had such a good graduation and wouldn't want to have spent it with any other people. Although my class fought like cats and dogs at times, we were a good class and i'm quite sad I won't get to experience this new chapter with them as we are all going our separate ways. I wish them the best in the future.

What I loved most about my graduation was that my family came together to celebrate my success with me and since I am the only one out of 6 children to graduate from school it was quite emotional. I am beyond proud of myself to have done it.

Surround Yourself With The Right People

We've all had those friendships that you thought were going to last forever but now looking back you say to yourself ' What was I thinking?'. Looking back you realise how suffocating that friendship was and personally I often question how I was so blind to not see that it wasn't a true friendship. Sometimes though, you have to experience that bad to appreciate the good.

I have found that as I have gotten older it has gotten easier to tell the traits in people that I do and do not like, you have to learn to associate with the right people, therefore if you ever get the sense of something you do not like or get the feeling that there is pressure being put onto you for some sort of reason, remove yourself from that situation, that person or that group of friends because you don't want to get dragged into unnecessary arguments, drama or fights.

Trust me when I say you will know when you have the right group of friends! They will give you an endless amount of support even when you don't ask for it, they will have your back and you will just feel at ease with them.

Just remember a large number of friends doesn't make you any cooler because one real friend is better than 100 fake friends. So just surround yourself with people that make you happy.

I am lucky enough to have an amazing group of friends and I don't seem to tell them that enough. Although we all have our bad days we know that we are all there for each other and that's what I love the most about our friendship.. We often push each others buttons but we will never leave each others side and that's what real friendship is.
Each and every one of them is amazing and I am so grateful to call them my best friends.

Remain Positive

I know myself from first hand experience that it is difficult to remain positive all of the time. At times it does feel like the end of the world and that you are going to suffer for the rest of your life, but you know what I've come to realise? It's a bad day, not a bad life. Have a cup of tea, sit back, take a breath and relax.
Just because you are struggling today and may be having the worst time of your life, tomorrow may be the complete opposite and be absolutely brilliant! All you have to do is wake up and find out.

We are all guilty of drowning ourselves in our own sorrows because we feel alone.. But now is the time to make a change! We control how we feel, we are not alone no matter what we might think in those moments of time and we will get through it.

Somebody is always there for you when you need to let off abit of steam.. It may be a friend, relative or an absolute stranger, either way somebody is there. If you feel as if you don't want to speak to anyone then write it down on a piece of paper and then throw it away.. You'd be amazed by how much it helps to just let out your emotions instead of keeping them bottled up.

By bottling up your emotions you are digging a bigger hole for yourself as you may end up cracking at the littlest thing and taking everything out on someone who done nothing wrong. The outcome of bottling things up could affect your situation more and you will think back and say 'well why did I do that?'

Remaining positive is difficult to a certain extent, like losing a loved one. Obviously at this moment in time you are going to think negatively and struggle to get back up on your feet but the only advice I have is to make them proud. Be the person that they would want you to be!

Although you can't physically see or feel them, they are there watching over you and I firmly believe that we will see our loved ones again. Until then make it your mission to put in your best efforts to succeed because that is what they would want. They don't want you to isolate yourself from reality, they would want you to move on. I don't mean as in forget about them, NEVER do that! All I'm saying is to keep them in your mind when you feel unmotivated and think to yourself 'what would they want me to do?'

Be positive for them but more importantly be positive for yourself.
Simply live in the moment because tomorrow may never come.

Top 5 Addictive IPhone Games

I'm pretty sure the majority of you reading this have some sort of IPhone.
If not, then please forgive me..
But if you do then here are my Top 5 Addictive IPhone Games.
  1. MMM FINGERS; This is a game where various objects are moving different ways and the aim is to keep your finger on the screen for as long as possible without hitting any of those objects. It is an extremely fun & addictive game and passes the time by quickly.
  2. STICK HERO; Yet again this game can occupy you for hours. The challenge is to get the character across to the next podium by holding the screen to lengthen the stick in their hand. It gets extremely challenging, but that's the fun of it.
  3. CROSSY ROADS; This game is definitely your typical arcade, old school kind of game. You collect coins crossing the road and river while dodging the likes of cars and trains. You can then collect multiple different characters along the way. It's the Flappy Bird type of addictive in my opinion, but immensely enjoyable.

  4. 2048; This isn't your typical arcade game, instead it's more of a puzzle but still highly addictive. Its a series of numbers that multiply together and you have to continue to do so until you reach the number 2048. It sounds easier than it actually is, but while being extremely addictive it's also helpful with your maths skills whether you notice it or not.
  5. CIRCLE THE DOT; Circle The Dot is an extreme head wrecker but thoroughly enjoyable. It consists of a dot that you have to trap within a circle before you slips to the edge. Out of the numerous games that I have played I have successfully trapped the dot twice. Believe me when I say it is a head wrecker but nevertheless you will have fun playing it and will struggle to put the phone down until you complete it.

So those are my Top 5 Addictive IPhone Games. I do have plenty more apps that I will share in future posts. If you decide to download any of the apps that I mentioned above... Good-Luck :)

February Beauty Favourites

This month for some strange reason I've found that I have loved a lot more beauty related products then I normally do, I just thought i'd put together a blog post showing what they are and what I thought of them!

Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with this 'Collection Sheer Loose Powder', I had read some reviews on this before purchasing and there was mixed reviews so I was quite reluctant when buying it, but considering its pretty cheap compared to other powders (€3.99 - Boots) I couldn't go wrong. I'm fairly happy with it, you get a lot of product for such a cheap price (20g) and it does the job needed.
I used this product to set my foundation and it does stay in place for a good length of time. Although I'm sure there are much better powders out there, for now I'm quite happy to stick with this as I'm pleased with what it does and how it looks.

Sticking with Collection I came across the 'Cover Up Stick' and I find it is value for money, yet again it's fairly cheap (€2.49 - Boots). It's got good coverage and I find it blends really well with my skin.
It is available in two shades (Fair & Medium). Only bad thing is that it is out of stock quite often as it's a fairly popular concealer but overall I'm impressed with it's job for that price.

I don't know what it is, but for some reason I always struggle with eyeliner whether it may be liquid or pencil. So when looking to purchase I always have to be careful because I know i'm going to struggle anyways.
I tend to stay away from pencil as best I can and go for the felt tip eyeliners just because they are so much easier to handle and they lessen the struggle of application and I found this one to help me a lot, simply because the tip is so thin and it makes application that bit easier.
Yet again it's by Collection, I don't know what it is but lately their products are just amazing quality and value. This 'EXTREME' eyeliner was also fairly cheap (€3.99 - Boots) which is always fabulous.

Moving away from makeup, I've been loving 'Extracts Fruity Strawberry Body Wash'. Normally I'm not a huge fan of strawberry body washes as the scent makes me feel quite ill, but in this the scent isn't at all overpowering, it's quite subtle but enough to leave you smelling fresh. It leaves my skin feeling super soft and refreshed as well as leaving it smelling like strawberries.

Along with the body wash I've been using 'Extracts Fruity Strawberry Body Butter'. Using this when I get out of the shower I found that it leaves my skin feeling incredibly hydrated as well as leaving that subtle strawberry scent behind too. It's just beautiful!

Don't you just hate those little stubborn spots that are under the skin but are incredibly painful? Yeah, me too. I personally found 'Visibly Clear Spot Stress Control' to solve that problem once and for all, Whether it works for you too, I'm not sure, but it's worth a shot!(€5.49 - Boots) I found that by cleansing my face with this lotion, it reduced the size as well as the amount of spots that were on my face.
Some say it works and others say different, so it all depends on the person, but for me personally it worked like a little charm.

Lastly, everyone loves a good face mask every now and then, if you say you don't then you are lying to yourself. My favourite for this month has been the 'Green Tea Peel Off' which is a mixture of green tea and ginger.
I'm the type of person who has a collection of face masks so to be able to choose an absolute favourite is normally extremely difficult for me. This face mask though instantly made my face feel fresh, light and firm as soon as it was peeled off. The powerful antioxidants of the green tea and ginger purified my skin leaving it extremely rejuvenated.

Those has been my beauty favourites of this month, leave a comment below of what your favourite beauty product was this month!

BLEACH LONDON's - BRUISED VIOLET REVIEW

For those of you who don't know (which is most likely all of you) I am blonde, bottle dyed of course and I wanted to spice things up because I was getting bored of the whole bleach blonde noodle look..

So I decided I wanted to try out a dip-dye. I took my time on deciding what colour and what brand to use. I done all I could to stay away from the Schwaszkof brand because the last time I used that brand.. Well lets just say it didn't go too well. Eventually I settled on BLEACH LONDON's BRUISED VIOLET. All I can say is wow!

At first I was quite hesitant about using it, although it does wash out within 2 - 10 washes, but then I was just like what the hell it's only wash out! I've just got to say that I am highly impressed with this product. The price, the amount in the bottle and the results are just fabulous. (I will insert before & after pictures below)
At first glance you'd think 'that price for that tiny bottle?' but I can honestly say that it is worth the money as I practically done half my head, bare in mind my hair is just past my shoulders, and I didn't even use 1/4 of the bottle. So I personally think €6.49 for 150mls is totally worth it.

As I mentioned at the beginning that I am blonde by bottle dye and I have been for the guts of 2 years. So that means bleaching my hair every 2 - 3 months and it is safe to say that my hair is practically lifeless.. But this BLEACH LONDON dye has actually improved the ends of my hair. They were just dead straw like strands but now I can see and feel a difference in the ends.

I am currently on my 4th hair wash since using this dye and the colour is still extremely vibrant, so I am immensely happy. Since using this I have also gotten an endless amount of comments on the colour of my hair. *fistpump*

But one thing that I will say is be careful of the amount of conditioner you use when washing your hair if you want this colour to last as it will result in the colour brightening quicker.

Overall I would give BLEACH LONDON's BRUISED VIOLET a solid 9 out of 10 for the simple fact that it isn't permanent but I am going to buy more colours from this brand and try them out too.

Compulsive Liars

In this blog post I'm going to slightly go off on one, simply because lately people are just straight up annoying and it frustrates me that they are annoying because I know that they are really nice people when it comes to it.
Is it just me that feels that way? maybe so.

Okay I'm just going to start off by saying that I am fed up with people being compulsive liars. You know those people that have to be better than everyone else? yeah those.
Example; You cut your finger.. They lost an arm.
You got hit by a bicycle.. They got hit by a train.

Like why? What is the point. Everyone knows that they are lying and when it is pointed out to them, they go off with more lies. I just don't see the point in it.
*deep breath*

It's like they are trying to impress people whom they don't need to impress..

What is the actual point of lying compulsively anyways? In the end you don't gain anything from it, you only lose people in your life because they feel unable to trust you because everything that you say isn't the truth.

Okay, I know not everybody tells the truth 100% of the time.. A little white lie here and there is okay, because that can be easily spotted and a joke can be made but when it is lies 24 hours of the day 7 days a week, It gets frustrating and exhausting to listen too.
You know what I mean? I hope so.

How do they constantly do it though, do they not get tired of lying through their teeth? Like I couldn't do that because it's so easy to tell when i'm lying, so it baffles me how they manage to do it without the batter of an eyelid.

I don't know to be honest. It's just crazy to watch people doing it so calmly, but at the end of the day lying gets you nowhere my friends, so just keep that in mind the next time you wanna compulsively lie to someone.

Anywayssssss..

On a brighter and much happier note I finished my Pre - Leaving Cert Exams today..
HALLELUJAH!!

Now here is a cute picture of a pug.
